Description
The province of Aceh on the island of Sumatra is home to a number of coffee farms that give us this terrific bean. Certified Fair Trade and Organic, this coffee is processed using Indonesia’s wet-hulled method. It is generally low in acidity and offers a rich earthy flavor with undertones of cocoa, pepper, and a slightly herbal aftertaste.
Sumatran coffee is often best with a darker roast.
